News from StoneBridge Business Partners

January 2012- StoneBridge Business Partner's Karen Gottermeier has been featured as a part of SUNY Brockport's "Profiles", an online archive dedicated to students and alumni who have made remarkable contributions and accomplishments in their field of study.  You can view Karen's profile here.

March 2011 – StoneBridge Business Partners is retained by New York's Monroe County Airport Authority Board as its internal auditor, two months after firing the previous auditor following revelations of questionable spending by the Authority's previous Airport Director.

Fall 10 – The following additions have been made to StoneBridge Business Partners team:

• Stephanie Roberts has joined StoneBridge Business Partners as a senior auditor. Stephanie was recently employed at a national public company headquartered in Rochester, New York, prior to starting her career at a public accounting firm.
• Karen Gottermier has joined StoneBridge Business Partners as a staff auditor. Karen is a recent graduate of SUNY Brockport and holds a B.S. in accounting and a masters in forensic auditing. Karen will work in the compliance audit division. 

July 10 – StoneBridge has moved its offices to a new Rochester, NY location. The newly constructed headquarters located at 280 Kenneth Drive, Rochester, NY, 14623, offer state of the art communication, training and meeting facilities for the firm.

Spring 10 – Renee Martin has joined StoneBridge Business Partners as a staff auditor.  Renee had been working in the Audit department of EFP Rotenberg for nearly two years before joining StoneBridge this spring.

Fall 09 – Jim Marasco will be presenting at the AGA 2009 Fraud Conference in Albany, NY in November.

Spring 09 – StoneBridge's affiliate, Eldredge, Fox & Porretti, LLP, announced plans to merge with Rotenberg & Co. The new firm will be named EFP Rotenberg and will include over 150 employees.

Winter 08 – Lou Camarella and Jim Marasco have received the CFF designation (Certified in Financial Forensics) from the AICPA.

Spring 08 – On March 6, 2008, Jim Marasco presented a continuing professional education seminar on corporate and mortgage fraud to the Rochester chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Spring 08 – Jim Buffum has joined StoneBridge Business Partners as a senior auditor. Buffum, who was previously an administrator with the University of Rochester Medical Center, will be involved in the healthcare consulting group. He holds a BS in accounting from SUNY Geneseo and an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School. Jim is a native of Syracuse, New York.
